Hi! My name is Tasha and I am accepting new children into my day care now!

A little bit about myself:

I have been caring for children since I was eleven years old. I grew up playing sports year round, going to church, and I was in Girl Scouts (taking the babysitting course). I have been a babysitter for numerous families over the years, have helped another lady who had an in-home day care, have taught Pre-K Sunday School at my church, and have worked at an after-school program through the YMCA at Pleasant Ridge Elementary School. I have experience working with children with special needs as well. I have also been a full-time nanny for a diabetic child as well as for other children including teenagers. I have experience with children of all ages, caring for children as young as three-weeks-old. I have a business degree from Temple Baptist College and I started my own non-profit organization to raise money for diabetes right about the time that I graduated from High School. I am currently completing my certificate for Child Day Care Management through Penn Foster. I am almost finished with the program! I will be CPR certified (I have been before. I just need to take the class again to renew it which I am going to do soon). I have excellent references (available upon request) and an excellent driving record. Caring for children has been my main occupation for the past fourteen years and it is what I love to do!

What the day care will include:

~Daily Art Activities (Painting, Finger Painting, Beads, Play Doh, etc.)
~Healthy Snacks
~Lunch
~Milk, Water, and Sugar Free Kool-Aide
~Many Field Trips to different places such as the zoo, the pool, the museum center, the art museum, the park, McDonald's Playland, the conservatory, Chuck E Cheese's, etc. (The zoo and the museum center will be no extra charge for your child(ren) as well as many other field trips, but there may be small fees for some of the field trips that we take. I ask that you buy a $10 pool pass (good all summer at Oakley pool and Pleasant Ridge pool through the Cincinnati Recreation Commission).
~Many educational toys
~Separate play areas for Babies/Toddlers and Older Children
~Children's movies, but very limited TV time
~Birthday Parties for the Children
~A Yearly Children's Christmas Party
~Nap time/Quiet Time (for those children who do not take a nap)

Your child will have a loving, educational, fun experience! We do have pets, but they will not be in the day care area around your children (cat and dogs) so please no children who are allergic. I am hoping to have a couple more children join the day care soon! We currently care for an almost 2-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl part-time and an 8-year-old girl and a 17-month-old boy full-time. I want to keep my day care right around six kids or under so they have other children to play with, but so that they still get a lot of one on one attention as well. My mom works with me to run the day care as well as my roommate. Almost all of the time there will be at least two of us working. My roommate works during the day 3-4 days per week 7-1 so her and the dogs (she works at the doggie day care in Norwood) will be gone during those hours and that is when my mom works with me. The day care is open from 6AM-6PM (extended hours are available with advance notice). I charge $30 per day for part-time and $125 per week for full-time. Extra hours (beyond 6pm) are $5 an hour. Some weekend and night child care available as well with advance notice.

Our place is very convenient to 71 (literally 1 minute from the Smith Edwards exit) and convenient to 75 (The Norwood Lateral is close). It is very close to area in Hyde Park, Oakley, and Norwood. During the school year, before and after school care available (rides to/from school) for neighboring school districts.
