Description
Many visitors to The Scratching Post point to Georgine and ask: "Is that cat pregnant?" The answer is no, she's not pregnant - she's just pleasantly plump. We actually found out about Georgina from a homeowner concerned about the pregnant cat in the neighborhood. We agreed to take her in, but we quickly learned that she wasn't pregnant. Georgine gets along well with humans and felines, though she can be an ankle-biter (literally) when she's in a feisty mood. She has slimmed down a bit since she first arrived, and she's as likely to rub against your ankles as bite them. It seems that as soon as a person enters her room at the new shelter, she starts purring and rubbing on their legs. The only way we got the photo of her napping was to take it through the window...as soon as we opened the door, she was awake and seeking attention (it's awfully hard to take a photo of a cat when they're on top of your feet!)
